released under GNU FDL
license unless differently specified.
Software screenshots are released under
public domain and are free for any use: please feel free to use them
(either copying the files or linking the URLs) on
websites, blogs etc, and update them when needed with updated
screenshot published here.
All software packages
published in PeaZip project are released under
Open Source GNU LGPLv3
license, and are free for any personal, professional, and commercial
use, and does not contain adware or otherwise harmful software.
In years 2011 to 2014 PeaZip project had partnered with advertisers (as
AVG Antivirus, OpenCandy) for delivering ads in Windows installers, the
partnerships ended with the PeaZip 5.3.0 ad-free release in April 2014;
since then the Windows installers containing adware modules were
removed from all official PeaZip project repositories.
If you find PeaZip
packages containg malware, adware, or otherwise unwanted software,
please report them to the maintainers of the repository or website
publishing them, and to me (see Report
issues section), so action can be
taken in the best interest of user's security.
The same licensing model apply also to any third parts contributions to
the website or the software:
FDL license apply in case of text/documentation, and LGPLv3 apply in
any other case (unless differently specified in both cases).
Export, ECCN, COO
As software
containing strong cryptographic functions,
PeaZip is
classified in 5D002 category, accordingly to Wassenaar Arrangement
coding, for US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security ECCN
(Export Administration Regulations), European Union EC 388/2012, and UK
Strategic Export Control Lists.
The classification may be different according to the laws and
regulations of other nations.
Country Of Origin (COO) is Italy: the product is developed, maintained,
and tested in Italy: however please note that PeaZip, as Open Source
software, plainly could not even exists without the contribution of
other Open Source projects (you can find them credited in Third party
technologies section of the website) and without the constant
feedback from users (mainly collected in the official Issue tracker on
SourceForge).
Distribution
PeaZip software is Open Source and can be freely distributed under the
terms of GNU LGPLv3 license.

PeaZip software
PeaZip
software does not collect, process or communicate/diffuse
personal
identifiable information about users.
PeaZip, in the best interest of users' privacy, lacks any function to
store and send data of any kind from user's computer, the only
networking capability being linking the online resources (pages of
updates,
support, issue tracker, etc).
From Options > Settngs, General tab, Privacy and Security group it is
possible to access to all relevant features from a single place, as:
- verify updates
- check for available documentation, issue tracker, CVE
entries
- selectively reset temporary work files,
configuration, history, bookmarks, etc
- define a custom work folder
- disable history, etc
The software is distributed thorugh GitHub, either in form of
downloadable packages for different platform and of Git repository, in
any case when using GitHub repository to access to ther software refer
to GitHub

The website is hosted on GitHub, which logs visitors' technical
information for the purpose of maintaining and improving the quality
